Freddie Bevan scored two tries as Bishop's Stortford under-14 Whites beat Letchworth 15-10 in their first Herts Middlesex League game of the season.

Logan Mulheroon also dotted down as they raced into an early lead before surviving a comeback from their opponents in a hard-fought contest.

There was an emphatic 55-0 victory for the under-14 Blues as they dominated their fixture against Tring.

Strong play from Charlie Hammick and Ollie Mitchell led the way for many tries, with good play from Dylan Streeter and Alfie Ward adding to their control of the game.

There was also plenty of strong tackling from the forwards, especially Lenny Tancock, and in the backs from Gabby Brault.
