Bishop's Stortford youth teams reach semi-finals of Essex knockout competitions

LEARN MOREBishop's Stortford's under-16s and under-14s have both reached the semi-finals of the Essex knockout competitions.
The under-16s took on Oakfield Parkonians in their quarter-final and put 197-7 on the board thanks to half-centuries from Tegid Thomas (60) and Tom Howes (50).
Liam Mays claimed 4-17, Freddie Chapman took 3-13 and wicketkeeper Jess Olorenshaw bagged four catches as their opponents were dismissed for 73.
The under-14s fielded first in their last-eight tie against Colchester and limited their opponents to 85-7 as Ben Warren (2-19) and Ben Foster (2-11) had success with the ball.
In reply, Stortford reached 86-2 to win by eight wickets. Henry Hawkins and Harry Pigram remained unbeaten on 28 and 23 respectively.
