Bishop's Stortford's Jack Giddens and Ryan Henshaw have been named in two Pitching In Isthmian League teams of the year.

Goalkeeper Giddens and defender Henshaw are in the Premier Division sides of the 2021-22 season selected by managers and by supporters.

The Blues players were announced in the official XI of the campaign, based on votes from club bosses, at the league's annual presentation dinner.

Shot-stopper Giddens' excellent performances ensured the runners-up had the best defensive record in the division. He kept 24 clean sheets in all competitions, including a run of 12 in a row as he set a club record of not conceding for an extraordinary 1,088 minutes.

Centre-back and captain Henshaw was an influential presence in front of the goalkeeper and also chipped in with three goals.

And the pair also made it into the league's supporters' team of the season, with Giddens receiving more votes than all of the other nominated goalkeepers combined.
