Bishop’s Stortford Community Football Club under-12 girls Cyans secured a 1-0 victory over higher-ranked Wheathampstead Orcas.

They took control straight away and dictated play to suffocate their rivals, with the crucial goal coming late in the first half.

They also worked hard out of possession, disrupted attacks and launched their own rapid counters.

Under-16 Town saw off Bury Rangers Reds 3-1 to remain top of Mid-Herts Rural Minors League, Division Two.

The goals were scored by Victor Wojcik, man-of-the match Noah Parker and Finley Campbell.
