Charlie Gill made a brilliant late save to earn Bishop’s Stortford Community Football Club under-12 girls Azures a 1-1 draw at Panshanger Lionesses as they extended their unbeaten run to seven games.

Summer Pullen put Stortford ahead in the Hertfordshire Girls’ Football Partnership League, Division Six contest with a lofted finish, but their opponents equalised before the break.

Hannah Mully was at the heart of a resolute second-half display before the excellent Gill ensured it finished level with a superb stop at the death.

Orlando Alexander struck twice to guide champions elect under-12 Town to a 3-1 win at Chase Side in the Mid-Herts Rural Minors League, Premier Division.

Bobby Paxton was also on target as the visitors moved to within one victory of the title.

Doubles from Aidan Hill and Teddy Martin helped under-13 United beat Buntingford Cougars 7-3 in Royston Crow League, Division Three.

Valy Ciborati, Jesse Poole and Josh Baldock also netted in the win.

Leaders under-14 Wanderers produced their most complete performance of the season to beat Stevenage Borough 3-0 in MHRML Division One.

Olly Sturrock fired them into an early lead with a brilliant long-range strike following Luca Livermore’s smart backheel.

Livermore claimed another assist when he collected Milan Ojimbah’s pass and crossed for the unmarked Evan Castle to score at the back post.

And Livermore wrapped up the victory before half time by burying a rebound after Castle’s shot had been parried at the end of a fine run.

Jake Holland found the top corner from 20 yards to complete his hat-trick as under-14 Rovers triumphed 5-1 at Risden Wood in MHRML Division Two.

Also on the score sheet were Callum Porter and Elliot Ayre.

Under-16 Blues caused an upset as they beat higher-level Ware Youth Clarets 3-2 in the last 16 of the MHRML Cup.

Blues, who play in Division One, weathered an early storm against their Premier Division opponents before Marco Meli gave them the lead after nice play by Joe Mitshabu and Charlie Whitrod.

Ware netted twice to lead at the break, but Whitrod scored with two almost identical long-range finishes to book Blues’ place in the quarter-finals.

The under-16 girls secured a 3-0 success against Herons Youth in HGFPL Division Three.

Alisha Cuthbert put them ahead from Lola Anderson’s cross before Freya Spittall made some good saves to preserve the lead.

Isabelle Berry and Esme Cochrane combined to set up Ava Rawson to score their second goal before half time.

And Stortford wrapped up the points in the second period when Anderson calmly slotted past the goalkeeper after Anna Baros had intercepted a goal kick.

Logan Bradley’s fourth goal of the game in the last minute secured under-eight Rovers a thrilling 6-5 victory over Manuden Cheetahs in RCL Cherry Division.

The man of the match was joined on the score sheet by Edward Kain and Josh Ward while goalkeeper Teddy Johnson made numerous good saves.
