Sami Nykanen struck twice as Bishop’s Stortford Community Football Club under-14 Rovers thrashed Royston Town 7-1 in Mid-Herts Rural Minors League, Division Two.
Elliot Ayre, Ryan Cooke, Jake Holland, Callum Porter and Ivalyo Zheliazkov also netted for the second-placed side.
Top-of-the-table under-14 Wanderers came from behind to triumph 4-1 at Ware in MHRML Division One.
Man-of-the-match Luca Livermore equalised from a tight angle after Olly Sturrock’s shot was parried and Evan Castle fired them ahead from Livermore’s inch-perfect cross.
Castle extended the lead by finding the bottom corner before Max Foster put the icing on the cake with a fine free kick.
Daniel Williamson completed under-15 Rovers’ impressive comeback as they came from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with Bury Rangers Reds in Royston Crow League, Division One.
Rourke Purvis got them back into the contest with a header before Finley Campbell finished neatly.
And they claimed a point when Williamson stepped up to send a 30-yard free kick curling into the top corner.
The under-15 girls gave a good account of themselves at unbeaten leaders Ruislip Rangers Clarets in Hertfordshire Girls’ Football Partnership League, Division Two.
They conceded two goals after failing to deal with crosses before Lilly Fach was brought down in the box and Kiera Hider halved the deficit from the penalty spot.
Stortford worked their socks off after the break and player-of-the-match Ella Draper made some unbelievable saves, but their opponents netted again.
Under-12 Town got the better of Ware Black 4-0 in the MHRML Premier Division thanks to goals from Leo Kirby, Orlando Alexander, Will Blakey and Charlie Hellen.
Jess got the only goal of the game as under-11 girls Sky Blues beat London Lions 1-0 in the HGFPL Blue Division.
Other top performances were put in by the likes of Elsie, Cara and Kit.
