Bobby Paxton claimed a hat-trick as champions Bishop’s Stortford Community Football Club under-12 Town thrashed Broxbourne Borough 8-0.

Mason Rogers added a brace for the Mid-Herts Rural Minors League, Premier Division winners while Charlie Hellen, Leo Kirby and Harry Looker were also on target.

Under-14 Wanderers ended their MHRML Division One campaign with a 2-0 home victory over Cuffley Stars.

Deji Adewuyi broke the deadlock by heading in Tom Foden’s free kick from close range.

And the points were secured when Oliver Millar’s left-wing cross was converted by Sam Braund.

Under-16 Blues’ brilliant MHRML Cup run came to an end as they lost 3-1 to higher-level Norsemen Blues in the semi-finals.

The Division One team, who had knocked out two top-tier sides, fell behind early on to their Premier Division opponents before Ed Bennett swept in an equaliser from Sam Shemwell’s free kick.

The second half was an even affair, but Norsemen grabbed a fortunate second goal and broke away to add a third as Stortford pushed for a leveller.
