Bishop’s Stortford Community Football Club under-14 United beat Buntingford Cougars 12-1 in Royston Crow League

Captain Aidan Hill was one of three players to claim braces as Bishop’s Stortford Community Football Club under-14 United trounced Buntingford Cougars 12-1.

Harry White and Harry Anderson also struck twice for the Royston Crow League, Division Two leaders.

There was a goal apiece for Matthew King, Josh Baldock, Jesse Poole, Albie Knowles and Teddy Martin along with an own goal in the rout.

Amelia Coulson grabbed her first goal for the under-16s girls as they beat Ware 1-0 to register their opening Hertfordshire Girls’ Football Partnership League, Division Two win of the season.

The hosts produced a fine all-round performance at Albury with the return of Abi Berry, player-of-the-match Phoebe Edmondson and Jess Molt making them stronger.

The breakthrough came in the second half when Aimee Cole’s cross-cum-shot from Poppy Dwyer’s corner was guided home by Coulson.
