Bishop's Stortford FC make £500 donation to St Clare Hospice after Zoom football quiz night




Bishop's Stortford are making a £500 donation to St Clare Hospice after holding an online quiz night.

Blues players and staff joined in the fun on Zoom, with 35 football-related questions being posed.

And striker Craig Calver came top of the table thanks to an impressive score of 31.

Hastingwood-based St Clare launched an urgent fundraising appeal in March in an attempt to minimise the impact of the coronavirus crisis. The charity said the worst case scenario is that it would be down £100,000 on its fundraising targets within three months.

"Our thoughts are with everyone in hospitals and care homes that are working tirelessly to look after us all," said Stortford manager and owner Steve Smith.
