Marcus Cattell hopes Bishop's Stortford can show their firepower when they visit winless Darlington Mowden Park in National League 1 on Saturday (Oct 9).

They go into the match having almost won away at leaders Rosslyn Park at the weekend before succumbing narrowly 14-13.

"Probably not many people gave us a chance going down there, but we ended up being disappointed not to take the win," said joint head coach Cattell.

"We lost by a point and we gave them eight points through our lack of discipline, but the boys were tremendous, going toe to toe with probably the strongest pack in the league.

"It was a really solid performance and shows we're not far behind these top sides and that we've got the artillery to match them."

Flanker Rory Banks is set to miss the trip to Darlington, who have lost all five of their matches, but prop Will Roberts is back available for selection.

"We're not looking at the league table," said Cattell. "We know Darlington are a good side with threats all over the park."
