Bishop’s Stortford beat Datchworth Ferns 49-7 in Women’s NC Midlands 3 (East)

Bishop’s Stortford scored seven converted tries to register a 49-7 home success over Datchworth Ferns on Sunday (November 10).

The hosts did not take long to get on the scoreboard in the Women’s NC Midlands 3 (East) contest as captain Jasmin Bice touched down under the posts, with Rebekah Coppen kicking her first of seven conversions.

The visitors responded quickly with a converted try of their own from a breakaway, but that was as good as it got for them as Stortford took charge.

Sally Howell and Coppen were named forward and back of the match respectively while Stortford were pleased to welcome back Carley Day and Lorell Jordan from long-term injuries. There was also a debut for Ria Lee.
