Bishop’s Stortford Cricket Club looking for new junior members and hosting Easter coaching sessions




Bishop’s Stortford Cricket Club is keen to welcome new members to its thriving junior section this season.

The club, which is celebrating its bicentenary this year, has 370 junior members, with more than 30% of those being girls.

All Stars (children aged five to eight) train on a Friday evening at the Cricketfield Lane venue while sessions for minis (children aged seven to 10) are held on Sunday mornings.

Individual age-group cricket runs from under-nines to under-19s, with weekly training and regular matches.

Ben Twohig (BT) is the head of senior coaching working alongside first-team skipper Dom Clutterbuck, who is the head of junior coaching.

Anyone wanting to join the junior section should email gsumner1960@gmail.com.

There is also the chance to attend Easter coaching camps run by the BT Academy at Cricketfield Lane from Monday to Thursday, April 7-10.

The academy provides high-quality coaching all year round, with small group sessions and one-to-ones with qualified coaches.
