Bishop’s Stortford High School student Luke Dunham comes second on England debut at UK Athletics Cross Challenge in Leeds




Luke Dunham came second to claim a silver medal on his England debut at the UK Athletics Cross Challenge in Leeds.

The Bishop’s Stortford High School student led for most of the hilly two-lap course around Temple Newsam Park before finishing three seconds behind fellow England runner Matthew Clark in the under-17 men’s race.

Dunham, who clocked 11min 38sec, was selected having earned bronze medals at the Cross Challenge events in Cardiff and Liverpool as well as for his consistency over the cross country season.

Dunham’s England colleagues Myles Fraser and Jack Marwood completed the top four in his event.
