Ashley Elgar's hat-trick guided Real Stortford under-16 Bulls to a 4-3 win at Bury Rangers Reds and into the Mid-Herts Rural Minors League Division Three Cup final.

He opened the scoring from Mackenzie Lewin's pass and, after their opponents equalised, netted again having been found by Charlie Baker.

Bulls deservedly took a two-goal lead after the interval when Harry Pettipher set up the chance for Elgar to complete his treble.

Bury scored twice in the second half, but sandwiched in between their goals was a back-post finish from Vincent Doyle as Bulls set up a final showdown with Whitewebbs Eagles at Barnet's The Hive on May 8.

Injury-hit under-17 Falcons lost 3-1 and 4-0 when they played a double-header with Panshanger Jaguars in Under-18 Division Four. Daniel Alaezi got their goal in the first game, in which they played the first half with 10 men.

And under-strength under-18 Saracens lost 2-1 at HDYFC Whites in Division Five.
