Former Bishop's Stortford youngster and Felsted School alumnus Max Malins to make full England debut against France at Twickenham in Six Nations

Former Bishop's Stortford youngster Max Malins will make his full England debut against France at Twickenham on Saturday (March 13).

He will start at full-back for the Six Nations contest having made his first appearance for his country as a replacement in November's Autumn Nations Cup win over Georgia.

Malins, who attended Felsted School and helped Stortford's under-13s win the Harpenden Festival in 2009, replaces Elliot Daly in head coach Eddie Jones' starting line-up.

The versatile 24-year-old has been performing well for Bristol during a productive loan spell from Saracens.

Unfortunately for Malins, England's hopes of defending their Six Nations title are over, but France come to Twickenham still dreaming of the Grand Slam.

"This France game is one we are really looking forward to," said Jones.

"We are of course disappointed that we can't defend the championship, but that makes this an even more important game. We want to show what we are capable of.

"The squad have competed really hard in training since Sunday. I believe this is the best 23 to really take the game to France and get us on the front foot."
