Bishop's Stortford Swimming Club quintet represent Hertfordshire at Swim England National County Team Championships in Sheffield
A Bishop's Stortford Swimming Club quintet represented Hertfordshire at the Swim England National County Team Championships.
Lauren Gore, Kirsty Neill, Emma Fields, Alice Longman and Meisha Trend-Evans were part of a 28-strong team in action at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.
Herts were one of 32 English counties in action alongside four regional teams from Scotland and Wales, with more than 900 swimmers taking to the pool.
Gore claimed a personal best of 1min 13.74sec to come fourth in the individual 16-17 years 100m breaststroke while Neill was sixth in the same race in the 14-15 age category by clocking 1.15.84.
Neill was also on the breaststroke leg to help the 14-15 200m medley relay team finish fifth.
The 16-17 200m medley relay squad, with Gore on breaststroke, Emma Fields doing butterfly and Meisha Trend-Evans swimming freestyle, came ninth.
And the mixed open 300m freestyle relay team, with Longman and Fields on the third and fifth legs respectively, were 13th.
Overall, Herts secured a respectable mid-table position of 11th in Division Two.
