Felsted School student Jessica Olorenshaw collects Rachel Heyhoe Flint Award from Sri Lanka cricket legend Kumar Sangakkara at Lord's




Jessica Olorenshaw received a prestigious prize from former international batsman Kumar Sangakkara at Lord's.

The talented Felsted School student was presented with the Rachel Heyhoe Flint Award by the Sri Lankan legend on day four of the recent England versus India Test thanks to her excellent season in 2019.

Olorenshaw, 16, scored four hundreds and five fifties that summer and was part of the school's National Champions team, batting in the super over in the semi-final at the age of 14.

The teenager, who plays for Essex and the Sunrisers Cricket Academy, has also been part of the England under-16 girls' hockey squad for the past two years alongside playing National League hockey for the last three years with Chelmsford and in the under-18s at Sevenoaks.
