Sisters Lois and Emma Fields helped Bishop's Stortford Swimming Club make a good start to the Swim England Hertfordshire County Championships.
The siblings won the club's first two medals on the opening weekend of the competition in Borehamwood.
Lois took silver in the 200m backstroke (12 years) and Emma got bronze in the 100m butterfly (16+).
And other medals soon followed as Stortford swimmers bagged five gold, four silver and four bronze individual age-group medals, with 37 of the 54 swims resulting in top-eight finishes in the county.
Gold medals went to Callum Cox (100m butterfly, 16+ years), Ella Greatbatch (200m breaststroke, 15 years), Kirsty Neill (200m breaststroke, 16+ years), Lucy Wheeler (100m freestyle, 16+ years) and Meisha Trend-Evans (800m freestyle, 16+ years).
The silver medallists were Dan Chada (50m backstroke, 16+ years), Dylan Davenport (50m backstroke, 14 years), Lois Fields (200m backstroke, 12 years) and Molly Greatbatch (200m breaststroke, 13 years).
Bronze medals were claimed by Brandon Macdonald-Williams (800m freestyle, 15 years), Cox (50m backstroke, 16+ years), Emma Fields (100m butterfly, 16+ years) and Laura Burgess (100m freestyle, 16+ years).
Top-eight finishes were secured by Beau Reilly, Macdonald-Williams, Davenport, Elliot Hall, Emma Fields, Ethan David-Tostevin, Guy Spearman-Baines, Felice Chan, Lauren Gore and Lois Fields as well as Jago Derrington, Jakey Hayes, Trend-Evans, Miriam Moukdad, Molly Greatbatch and Robert Gor.
Another bronze medal was secured by the men's 15 and under 200m freestyle relay team of Gor, Macdonald-Williams, Beau Reilly and Davenport, who out-touched City of St Albans by 0.76sec.
The mixed championship 200m freestyle relay team of Cox, Emma Fields, Burgess and Callum Davis were fourth in their event.
Swimmers also competed to be crowned Hertfordshire junior (15 and under) and open (10 and over) champions.
In the junior championships, Ella Greatbatch took gold in the 200m breaststroke and Macdonald-Williams got bronze in the 800m freestyle.
In the open championships, Cox got the gold award in 100m butterfly and bronze in 50m backstroke while there were gold medals for Wheeler and Trend-Evans in the 100m freestyle and 800m freestyle respectively.
Chada secured silver in the 50m backstroke and Emma Fields got bronze in 100m butterfly while Neill took silver and Ella Greatbatch the bronze in the 200m breaststroke.
