Former Tottenham academy winger Anna Grey signs professional deal at Ipswich Town




Flying winger Anna Grey has entered the professional ranks after putting pen to paper on a one-year deal at Ipswich Town.

The former Birchwood High School student, who started her career at Bishop's Stortford Community Football Club 13 years ago, also has the option of a further year with the Tractor Girls.

Grey, 19, moved to Ipswich from Tottenham's academy in the 2018-19 season and is the fourth player to turn pro at the Suffolk club this summer.

"I'm really happy to have finally signed it and I just can't wait to get going," said Grey, who is from Aythorpe Roding.

"It's a really big step. I'm happy that I've come through [the academy] with Ipswich and I'm glad to have gone pro."

Grey joined BSCFC in 2008 and went on to win three league titles and the National Futsal Cup during her nine years there.

The teenager, whose dad Andrew coached her Stortford team for a couple of years, has gone on to represent at under-18 and under-19 level.
