Former Bishop’s Stortford loanee Ben Worman played his part in an Emirates FA Cup giant-killing at the weekend when Cambridge United knocked out Premier League side Newcastle United.

The team from Sky Bet League 1 caused a memorable upset as they triumphed 1-0 in the third-round tie at St James’ Park on Saturday.

And 20-year-old midfielder Worman, who spent time on loan with the Blues in 2019, was involved in the visitors’ goal as his pass started the move which resulted in Joe Ironside firing home in the 56th minute.

The U’s, who last February formed an academy partnership with Bishop’s Stortford Community Football Club, have been drawn at home to Championship outfit Luton Town in the fourth round.
