Bishop's Stortford Rugby Football Club sign Joe Wallace, Andrew Peverelle, Tom Johnson and Callum Coyne

Bishop's Stortford have further boosted their squad this week with four more new signings.

Joe Wallace, Andrew Peverelle, Tom Johnson and Callum Coyne have all agreed deals to play at Silver Leys next season.

Wallace, who can play across the back row, has recently returned from a spell in Italy with Colorno and was previously part of the Northampton Saints academy.

South African prop Peverelle has been recruited from Hartpury while lock forward Johnson has been studying at Newcastle University and has represented England Counties Under-20s.

And flanker Coyne, who has been studying at university in Coventry, has arrived from Hull Ionians.

Four colts have also been brought into the senior ranks in the form of tighthead prop Josh Cillia, flanker Dan Matthews, hooker Bailey Albert and back-three player Joe Radley.

"We've got some good youngsters coming into the club who will bring quality and competition for places," said joint head coach Marcus Cattell.

"You're going to be using 50-plus players in the season, so you need strength in depth in all positions.

"We've always prided ourselves on bringing our own players through, but you also want to bring young players in who are the right fit for the club.

"Young players are motivated and want to learn. Hopefully, as a coaching team, we can develop them and help them reach their full potential and more."
