Bishop's Stortford beat Cray Wanderers 3-1 at home this afternoon (Saturday April 23) to seal second place in the Pitching In Isthmian League, Premier Division.

The Blues will now host fifth-placed Cheshunt in the play-off semi-finals on Wednesday (April 27). If they win that game, they will entertain either Enfield Town or Hornchurch in the play-off final on bank holiday Monday (May 2) with the winner following champions Worthing into the Vanarama National League South.

Jonny Giles opened the scoring in the 21st minute at the R&D Advisors UK Stadium when he collected a loose ball and found the bottom corner from 25 yards.

Jamie Yila equalised for Cray - who avoided the drop after finishing fourth from bottom - just past the half-hour mark, but Darren Foxley headed in the Blues' 100th goal of the season in all competitions in first-half added time to restore the lead.

And Steve Smith's men wrapped up the victory five minutes after the interval when Giles netted with another excellent long-range strike having been found by goalkeeper Jack Giddens.

Enfield Town won 1-0 at home to Bognor Regis Town and leapfrogged Hornchurch, who went down 2-1 at home to Wingate & Finchley, into third spot.

Stortford's play-off semi-final opponents Cheshunt, who beat them 1-0 on Easter Monday and knocked them out of this season's FA Trophy, drew 1-1 at Corinthian-Casuals.
