Forest Hall Park under-11 Oaks and Ferns play out exciting inter-club derby

Forest Hall Park under-11 Oaks and Ferns battled hard in what was an exciting inter-club derby contest.

There were some brilliant saves by both goalkeepers while the woodwork was struck on several occasions.

Among the goals for Oaks were Oliver Durrant and Franky Gage while the likes of Oakley Mead, Ronnie Perryman and Sammy Roberts netted for Ferns.

Everyone gave 100% when under-nine Willows girls took on Thaxted Rangers Pearls.

Alice Durrant, Pheobe Lewis and Harper-Blu Clark all scored goals while several players made excellent saves as they rotated goalkeepers.

The under-14s produced a spirited effort with no substitutes to draw 2-2 at home to Buntingford.

Solo runs and expert finishing led to goals for Harry Cordell and Will Noffki in the first half, before their opponents scored two fine goals to earn a share of the spoils.
