LEARN MOREThorley Manor under-14s made their coaches really proud with a determined performance in a narrow 2-1 defeat against Elsenham.
They had a great attitude and never gave up in what was a hard battle on a soggy and heavy pitch.
Thorley played some great football until two quick goals from their opponents threw them off their rhythm and they did well to not concede again before half time.
And the players really got stuck in after the restart and scored a penalty to make for a really tense final 15 minutes.
Under-eight Black produced a strong team display when they met Royston Town.
Some long-range efforts decided the game and it was end-to-end stuff in the final quarter as both teams went on the attack.
Both goalkeepers and their defensive colleagues performed well when under-eight White took on Buntingford Cougars. It meant there were not many goals in what proved to be a close encounter.
