Herts and Essex High School netball players gather to celebrate superb season

Nine team titles and numerous individual accolades were toasted when Herts and Essex High School's netball players gathered to mark a sensational season.

The Warwick Road school's PE department are hugely proud of their teams' efforts and celebrated their achievements with the players and their parents in the bar at the Herts and Essex Sports Centre, in Beldams Lane, last Thursday.

The under-12, under-13, under-14B, under-16 and under-18 teams were all crowned district champions.

The under-14s took the honours in the Anne Miles county tournament while the under-16s and under-18s came fifth and third respectively.

The school were also victorious in the Year 8, Year 10 and Senior County Cups while the under-14s were regional semi-finalists.

Assistant head and director of sport Hayley Jones said: "We look forward to building on this season's success in the next academic year and we're also looking ahead to our netball tour to Condover Hall in Shrewsbury next month."
