Hockerill Anglo-European College student Samuel Pearson comes sixth at Challenge Wratislavia fencing event in Poland




A young Bishop’s Stortford fencer came sixth out of 132 competitors from around the world at an international tournament in Poland.

Samuel Pearson, who is in Year 8 at Hockerill Anglo-European College, reached the quarter-finals of the Challenge Wratislavia event.

His fellow competitors came from the likes of France, Turkey, China, Hong Kong and the USA.

Pearson, who was in the under-13 age category, is a member of the Little Hadham-based Stort Valley Sabre Club.
