Miles family help Takeley claim wins over Stansted and Thorley in Tees Herts & Essex Border Cricket League
Olly Miles struck his maiden century for Takeley against derby rivals Stansted on Saturday – a week after playing in the same side as three other members of his family.
He smashed an unbeaten 151, which included 20 fours and four maximums, as the hosts triumphed by 68 runs in the Tees Herts & Essex Border League, Division One match.
Takeley racked up 256-5 from their 40 overs before limiting their opponents to 188-9.
The previous week, Olly was joined by brother Coby, sister Tally and dad Damon for their match at Thorley.
On that occasion it was Coby who stole the show by hitting the winning runs off the last ball and remaining undefeated on 51 in the six-wicket success.
The batting exploits of Olly and Coby were even more impressive considering they came into the side as strike bowlers.
