Former Bishop's Stortford player-manager Jamie Cureton signs for Isthmian League rivals Hornchurch

Bishop's Stortford's BetVictor Isthmian League, Premier Division rivals Hornchurch have announced the signing of Jamie Cureton following his departure from the club.

The prolific 44-year-old striker left his position as player-manager at the ProKit UK Stadium earlier today (February 4).

In what has proved to be a busy day at the club, Stortford have re-signed Johnville Renee and unveiled three other new recruits in the form of strikers Jordy Mongoy and Craig Calver and midfielder Jack Folan.

Mongoy joined Lewes in the summer from Hastings United having previously been with Dagenham & Redbridge and Billericay Town. He mainly operates in a left-sided attacking role but also can play in the centre.

Calver's former clubs include Southend United, Braintree and Chelmsford City. This season and the 2018-19 campaign saw him play for Saffron Walden Town, where he made 28 appearances and scored three goals.

Folan has most recently been playing for Walthamstow.
