Little Hallingbury School’s Year 3 and 4 team work their socks off to come fifth at Tag Rugby Regional Finals
Little Hallingbury School’s Year 3 and 4 team worked their socks off to come fifth at the Tag Rugby Regional Finals.
A positive attitude helped them win three matches and draw two in the group stages at Harlow Rugby Club.
The pool was so competitive that places had to be decided on try difference and Little Hallingbury were unlucky to be ranked third.
They got over any disappointment they may have had by beating Great Dunmow 4-2 in the 5th/6th play-off final.
The team qualified for the Regional Finals by winning bronze at the Uttlesford District Finals, which took place at Carver Barracks, thanks to four wins, a draw and two defeats.
Before that they competed in their first tournament against other primary schools at Howe Green House School and tied for top spot.
Little Hallingbury only lost three of their 19 matches this term and Logan topped the try-scoring charts.
Quinn, Oliver, Grace and Paisley also got tries while Belle produced the most triumphant tag at a crucial stage in a match.
