Little Hallingbury School’s Year 5 and 6 tag rugby team win Uttlesford district championship

Little Hallingbury School’s Year 5 and 6 tag rugby team have been crowned district champions.

They triumphed ahead of Saffron Walden’s R A Butler primary on try difference after a tough competition.

And claiming the Uttlesford title means they can now look forward to battling it out for the Essex crown in Southend in February.

The talented squad were joint winners of the Harlow/West Essex/Uttlesford regional event as Year 3 and 4 pupils in the 2022-23 season.

Two years on, they showed their class again as they were more than a match for some bigger schools whose Year 6 classes alone are bigger than the whole of Key Stage 2 at Little Hallingbury.
