A trio of Bishop's Stortford Swimming Club members took home an amazing 13 medals between them from a competition at Harlow Leisurezone.
Yana Patel, nine, Guy Spearman-Baines and Millie Cass, both 10, bagged a total of eight gold and five silver medals at Cheshunt Swimming Club's 17th annual Autumn Open Meet.
They were part of a 13-strong Stortford squad, comprising members aged nine to 17, that achieved 18 medals overall – 10 gold, seven silver and one bronze.
Patel won gold in the 50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke and 50m butterfly as well as claiming silver in the 100m freestyle.
"I enjoy competing against people that are a similar age to me and I love the excitement of racing," she said. "I feel proud of myself every time I win a race or beat my PB."
Spearman-Baines was a gold medallist in the 50m Breaststroke, 50m and 100m Backstroke and 50m freestyle and landed silver in the 100m breaststroke.
He said: "My best race at Cheshunt was my 50m backstroke because I took two seconds off my PB.
"For my 100m breaststroke I was so close to getting a counties' consideration time – maybe at the next meet I'll absolutely smash it!"
Cass was on top of the podium after the 50m breaststroke as well as securing second-place finishes in the 50m and 100m freestyle and 100m individual medley.
Bobbie MacDonald-Williams took silver in the 100m butterfly in the 13-years category and Emma Fields (15 years) won a 400m freestyle gold medal.
In the 17-years section, Isabella Good landed gold and bronze medals in the 100m butterfly and 50m butterfly respectively while Minnie Savage got silver in the 100m butterfly.
And Isabelle Earley, Lois Fields and Meha Patel, all 11, achieved personal bests in all of their races.
