Bishop's Stortford Swimming Club member Meisha Trend-Evans gets PB at Swim England Open Water National Age Group Championships
Meisha Trend-Evans registered a personal best when she rubbed shoulders with the country’s finest at the Swim England Open Water National Age Group Championships.
The Bishop’s Stortford Swimming Club member finished 12th in her age group at Thrybergh Country Park in Rotherham.
Trend-Evans had taken silver in the 16-year age group at the Swim England East Region open water competition in July – her first 5km open water race – to gain automatic qualification for the national event.
The teenager has also been selected for the East Region Triathlon Academy, which is the first stage of the British Triathlon World Class Performance Pathway, and regularly competes in the National Super Series.
And Trend-Evans’ superb national performance means she can look forward to representing the East Region at the forthcoming School Games National Finals at Loughborough University.
