Thorley Manor under-10s play out an entertaining draw with SK Sports
Freddie Peregrine was man of the match for Thorley Manor under-10s when they drew with SK Sports.
Although playing in his normal position, he was asked to take on a man-marking role to nullify the opposition's best player and he acquitted himself brilliantly.
It was an entertaining match as both teams looked to play passing football.
And it proved to be a game of two halves as Thorley Manor controlled much of the first period to lead at the break, with SK Sports storming back to ensure it ended with honours even.
The under-11s suffered a defeat against Biggleswade United, but it did not reflect the way they performed in windy conditions.
They showed excellent team spirit as they continued to pass the ball and work hard, despite the wind being against them in the second half.
Lucca got a deserved goal for Thorley while their opponents deliberately missed a late penalty after deciding they should not have been awarded the spot kick.
The under-sevens put in another strong display when they visited Biggleswade Town for two matches.
Both games were played a fast tempo and Thorley's high pressing resulted in goals for Louis, Alex, Toby, Harrison, Freddie, Ronnie and Henry.
The boys worked hard for each other and regularly got back to help out if a team-mate found themselves in one-on-one situations.
