Pro-Karate Academy coach Harry Marsden representing England at Commonwealth Karate Championship in South Africa

Harry Marsden is preparing to represent England at the Commonwealth Karate Championship in South Africa at the end of the month.

The 23-year-old Pro-Karate Academy member, who runs classes in Bishop’s Stortford and the surrounding area, will be competing in Durban on November 28 and 29.

Marsden, who was named the Mantle Space-sponsored Sports Personality of the Year at the 2023 Indies Community Awards, is taking part in the team kata event.

He is no stranger to competing at this level having won gold at the last Commonwealth Karate Championship, which was held in England two years ago, and is the current individual male senior British kata champion.
