Daniel Alaezi and Aaron Spencer both claimed hat-tricks as Real Stortford under-17 Falcons won a derby encounter 8-3.

Their exploits helped them see off Bishop's Stortford Community Football Club under-17 Blues in Mid-Herts Rural Minors League, Under-18 Division Four.

Alaezi opened the scoring inside the first three minutes with a left-foot finish before Spencer netted from 25 yards to double the lead.

Further goals for Spencer and Alaezi came either side of a successful BSCFC spot kick.

Falcons lost concentration before the break and conceded twice to take a 4-3 lead into the interval.

But a more disciplined defensive shape helped them dominate the early exchanges of the second period and Alaezi soon completed his hat-trick.

BSCFC were unable to convert their second penalty of the game and Tejay Popo quickly punished them by finishing off a deadly counter-attack.

Spencer then sealed his treble and Tom Gleeson stuck away a penalty to wrap up the points.

Graham Humphries' superb midfield performance earned him the man-of-the-match plaudits.

Wanderers were denied by the woodwork on three occasions before half time, but pulled one back through an own goal early in the second period.

Tom Foden made it all square with a clinical finish having been found by Luca Livermore, but Buntingford reclaimed the lead with a good header.

However, Wanderers secured a deserved point when Pillinger raced clear, rounded the goalkeeper and slotted home from a tight angle.

Bonnie Kirby scored in the BSCFC under-13 girls' 3-1 home loss to Denham United Wildcats as they suffered their first defeat of the season.

Trailing 2-0 at half time to the Hertfordshire Girls Football Partnership League, Division Two leaders, the hosts pulled a goal back when captain Kirby, who was player of the match, collected Poppy Dwyer's cross and gave the goalkeeper no chance.
