Morgan Rees and Ashton Taylor win on debuts as members of Gentleman’s Gym in Bishop’s Stortford take part in charity boxing night

Morgan Rees and Ashton Taylor won on their debuts when Gentleman’s Gym members took part in a charity boxing night in Ware.

The pair were joined by their Bishop’s Stortford clubmates Harrison Mill and Harry Wise at the event, which took place at Wodson Park, in aid of Kidney Care UK.

Rees was up against a more experienced opponent in the form of Ardi Zumbari over three two-minute rounds.

Zumbari started strongly, but Rees’ superior movement, technique and combinations helped him triumph.

Fellow debutant Taylor went up against Henry Garloy and dominated with some great combinations to claim the win.

There was also success for Wise as his opponent, Oliver Gumble, threw in the towel and did not come out for the second round.

Mill took part in a no-win skills match, comprising three one-and-a-half minute rounds, against an opponent from Ware and would have taken the win if it had been an official contest.
