Charlie Sacco guides Bishop's Stortford Community Football Club under-11 United to win over Stotfold

By Michael Vaughton

Charlie Sacco switched position with devastating effect as he fired Bishop’s Stortford Community Football Club under-11 United to a 4-0 win at Stotfold Junior Amber in the RCL Derek Gates Cup.

Luca Barnes scored with a volley before a tactical change at the break saw Sacco move from the wing to centre-forward and he hit a hat-trick.

Under-13 Wanderers shared the spoils with derby rivals Sawbridgeworth Town as their Mid-Herts League contest ended 3-3.

Jake Painter, Fenton Connolly and Harrison Walker got the goals, with Tom Wagstaff making some fine saves and Benjamin Stevens being named man of the match.

Under-15 Rovers were unlucky to lose 4-3 on penalties after a 3-3 draw against Potters Bar Crusaders in the Herts County Cup. Will Hall, who netted twice, and Sam Byrne got the goals.

And Under-17 Athletic lost 3-2 to Bengeo under-18 Siberians in the Royston Crow League Cup. James Hall and Archie Cockran struck for Athletic.
