Vibhor Yadav's best score for Sawbridgeworth in vain as they lost to Broxbourne in the Saracens Hertfordshire League

Sawbridgeworth's record-equalling 13-match unbeaten Saracens Hertfordshire League run is over after they went down to Broxbourne by four wickets, writes Richard White.

The home side overhauled Sawbo's total of 253 for 7 with nine balls to spare as Steve Ashman's side lost top spot in Division One to Hitchin, who they host this weekend.

They also missed out on surpassing a 35-year-old club record when the first team went undefeated in the first 13 matches of the 1986 season.

The result meant Vibhor Yadav's 125 not out off 115 balls – his highest score for Sawbo after being dropped on 16 – was in vain.

Having needed 72 deliveries to reach his 50, the all-rounder required only another 37 to bring up his fourth league century in 12 innings since returning to the club last season.

Chris Sargent (61) top-scored for Broxbourne in reply while Syed Mauzam Ali (27 not out) and Benji Richardson (18 not out) got them to 257 for 6 midway through the 49th over.

Sean Black (2 for 57) and Matt Billings (2 for 45) had most success with the ball.

Sawbo seconds suffered a third defeat in a row in Division 5B as they went down by three wickets against Boxmoor.

They were all out for 170 in just 40 overs having won the toss. The visitors reached 171 for 7 with five overs to spare.
