Dates for Bishop's Stortford FC academy trials as club looks to recruit new players for 2022-23

Bishop’s Stortford are holding trials to find new recruits for their academy.

The Blues’ academy is run in partnership with Birchwood High School and gives 16- to 18-year-olds the opportunity to study A level or BTEC courses alongside a footballing education with UEFA B Licence coaches.

Academy members will benefit from daily training sessions on Birchwood's astroturf and play weekly fixtures at the R&D Advisors UK Stadium.

Academy graduate and first-team player Jack Thomas said: "I loved my time at the academy. It helped me learn and grow. both as a player and as a person.

"With hard work you can really achieve good things and reach your goals."

Trials are taking place at Birchwood from 4.30pm on December 6, 13 and 20 as well at the R&D Advisors UK Stadium from 6pm on January 11 (open evening) and 18.
