Bishop's Stortford FC's tenants Enfield are set to make a bumper donation to honour the war dead after inviting supporters to attend their home match with Walthamstow on Wednesday (November 17) for free.

The E's will be marking Remembrance and supporting the armed forces by donating £10 to the Royal British Legion for every fan inside the R&D Advisors UK Stadium for the Essex Senior League, Premier Division contest, which kicks off at 7.45pm.

"Enfield FC are delighted to announce that Wednesday's game against Walthamstow FC will be free football for everyone," said the club on Twitter.

"Alongside this, Enfield FC will be donating £10 to the Royal British Legion for every fan in attendance.

"We would love to see as many fans as possible support us and, most importantly, our armed forces by coming to the game and creating an atmosphere!"

Bishop's Stortford RFC marked Remembrance Sunday before youth fixtures at Silver Leys.

The Last Post was played as the youngsters and their watching families observed the two-minute silence around a giant poppy painted on the pitch.
