The recurve team shot superbly in wet conditions to score 2,553 compared to their Knebworth-based opponents' 2,009.
Stortford's top recurve archers were Nigel Boardman, who scored 565, and Steven Pyne, who registered 555, along with Stuart Barber (509), Peter Sweetman (503) and Rebecca Bourne (420), while the top-scoring juniors were Emily Young (533), Star Austin (516) and Amy Hancock (460).
Stortford's juniors also triumphed by a big margin as they racked up 1,509 in contrast to their rivals' 1,067.
"It's a brilliant start and long may it continue," said Stortford coach and club secretary Barber. "We have worked hard throughout Covid to keep the team in peak condition, so it's lovely to seal a victory."
Stortford's next match is away to Elswood Bowmen while seniors Barber, Boardman and Bourne and junior Young are preparing to represent Herts in a four-way tournament in Kent.
