Bishop’s Stortford to start 2024-25 National 1 season with back-to-back home games against Leicester Lions and Blackheath

Bishop’s Stortford will start their 2024-25 National 1 campaign with back-to-back home matches.

They will welcome Leicester Lions and Blackheath to Silver Leys in the opening two rounds of the season on September 7 and 14 respectively.

Stortford, who now have Tom Coleman back as head coach following the departure of Marcus Cattell, will visit Birmingham Moseley on September 21 for their first away day of the new term before a third home game in four outings on September 28 when they entertain Plymouth Albion.

Their first encounters with the three newly-promoted sides come on October 19 at Rotherham, November 23 away to Esher and December 14 at Dings Crusaders.

Stortford’s final match of the calendar year will be the rematch at Blackheath just four days before Christmas on December 21.

And they will wrap things up with a trip to Leicester Lions on April 26.

Meanwhile, 17 players have re-signed for the forthcoming season after helping the side preserve their National 1 status in 2023-24.
