Aaron Stevens scored four goals as Thorley Manor under-14s produced a brilliant team performance to beat Sandy Tigers 5-3.

He netted twice inside the opening 10 minutes on a boggy pitch before their opponents reduced the arrears with an outstanding overhead kick.

Stevens scored the goal of the game with a shot which flew past the goalkeeper after his one-two with Freddie Millar-Bond had split the defence.

Sandy did not give up and got back on level terms at the break, but Louis Miles slammed the ball home from a couple of yards out before Stevens scored again on the counter-attack to secure a deserved win.

Under-11 Black were fired up for the return of football when they took on Stotfold Junior Whites.

They controlled the first half and peppered the opposition goal, with some fantastic saves from the goalkeeper keeping Stotfold in the game.

Thorley were a little sluggish after the restart, but there were great performances from Noah Sambridge, Ethan Pettit and man-of-the-match Aaron Farley.

Under-eight Black and under-eight White came through physical encounters with Bedwell Rangers and BSCFC Rovers respectively.

Both matches were scrappy as the muddy conditions made passing difficult, but the sides did well to carve out chances.
