Ashley Sutton finishes second in British Touring Car Championship behind 2025 winner Tom Ingram

Ashley Sutton was unable to catch leader Tom Ingram as he had to settle for runners-up spot in this year’s Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.

The Bishop’s Stortford driver, who went to Birchwood High School, went into the final round at Brands Hatch on Sunday (October 5) trailing his rival by 33 points.

Sutton, who competes for NAPA Racing UK, skipped a little further behind after the opening race as he came ninth, four places behind Team VERTU’s Ingram.

The title was decided in the second race as Ingram triumphed to take an unassailable lead, with Sutton behind him in second to make the podium.

Sutton rounded off the season by also finishing second in the final race behind Josh Cook, with Ingram coming sixth.

At the end, Ingram finished 34 points clear at the summit.

The championship is due to return for another 10-round, 30-race campaign on the weekend of April 18 and 19, 2026.
