Howe Green House School teams win tag rugby and netball tournaments

Teams from Howe Green House School enjoyed success at two Independent Schools Association competitions.

They triumphed in the Under-11 Tag Rugby Tournament at Bancroft RFC in Buckhurst Hill and the under-nines were victorious at the High Fives Netball Tournament hosted by Abbot’s Hill School in Hemel Hempstead.

The tag rugby team topped their group thanks to three wins and a draw to advance to the quarter-finals of the main cup competition, where they won 8-3.

A try right at the end of the contest saw them secure a 9-8 semi-final success over London’s The Gower School, who they had drawn with in the group stage.

And another try as time ran out secured a 12-10 triumph over hosts Avon House to clinch the title.

At the High Fives Netball Tournament, the side from the Great Hallingbury prep school won seven out of seven in the group stage before winning another three ties to be crowned champions.
