Felsted School student Lilia named in Ireland under-17 netball squad at the age of 14
A Felsted School student will compete alongside players three years her senior after being selected in Ireland’s under-17 squad.
Lilia B, 14, will take part in the national team’s monthly training sessions and hope to be picked for the upcoming European Championships.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old former Felsted student Poppy Tydeman has been included in Wales’ 18-player long squad.
She will compete in a series of international competitions as the Feathers gear up for the World Cup in 2027.
“These are both extremely impressive achievements,” said Lindsay Keable, Felsted’s director of netball.
“Lilia will be on court alongside athletes three years her senior and Poppy has a chance to compete in the World Cup.
“Both have a great work ethic and commitment to the game that will stand them in good stead as they have the honour of representing their countries.”
