Thorley Manor under-11 Black got back into the swing of things after a long break when they took on Standon & Puckeridge.
The team, playing their first game for three weeks, passed the ball nicely and were calm in defence.
There were a few mistakes due to a bit of rustiness, but they will no doubt find their usual rhythm soon with matches now coming thick and fast.
The under-14s' good performance was not reflected in the result when they lost 5-2 to Ashwell Academicals.
Thorley had lots of possession and moved the ball nicely through midfield, but their opponents' main striker proved extremely clinical.
The under-13s extended their unbeaten run to four games with a 2-2 draw against second-placed Watton Youth Bulls.
Leon Welch scored from long range and Lucca Godden also netted as every player made a significant contribution.
There was a battling display from the under-11s when they took on Baldock Town Crusaders.
They created multiple chances and scored through Ellis against well-organised opposition.
The under-10s succumbed to a lucky goal against Wymondley Park after they had responded well thanks to strikes from Louis and Archie.
Under-nine Orange played at a high tempo as Alex scored and Noah produced a man-of-the-match display at the back in their match against Biggleswade Raptors.
And some great individual runs helped to relieve pressure and led to numerous shots on goal as under-eight Black played really well against Biggleswade United.
