Farnham beat Nazeing Common to lift Tees Herts & Essex Border League Cup at Hockerill




Farnham beat Nazeing Common by 25 runs to lift the Tees Herts & Essex Border League Cup.

On the same night at Hockerill Cricket Club, Ardeley Walkern got the better of Nazeing Common’s second team by 38 runs to get their hands on the League Shield.

In the Cup final, Farnham batted first and put 143-6 on the board from their 20 overs thanks to contributions from Tommy Cattell (47no), Sam Hyne (34) and Austin Sewell (28).

Cattell then took 3-22 in the reply as their opponents came up short on 118-9.

There were also two wickets apiece for Sewell and Lauchie Macdonald and one for Ollie Stigwood.

In the Shield final, A Choudary struck 104 as Ardeley Walkern racked up 211-7 from 20 overs before their opponents could only muster 173-5.
