Bishop’s Stortford youngsters Rori Fletcher, Malli Came and Ossie Bannister named in England Hockey Talent Academy




Three talented Bishop’s Stortford youngsters have been selected for the England Hockey Talent Academy.

Rori Fletcher, Malli Came and Ossie Bannister will receive high-quality coaching at dedicated sessions.

The trio, who all attend Bishop’s Stortford College, will join up with other players, aged 15 to 18, who have been picked from across the country.

Fletcher (Year 12) and Came (Year 11) are part of Stortford’s ladies’ first team while Bannister (Year 10) represents the men’s second team.

The college’s assistant director of sport and head of girls’ hockey, Nick Prowse, said: “We are delighted and proud of Rori, Malli and Ossie on their selection to the Hockey Talent Academy.

“All three players have shown a tremendous amount of commitment and dedication to their hockey during their time at the college and are also flourishing at Bishop’s Stortford Hockey Club.

“We wish them well over the coming months at the academy and will be working hard with them to achieve their hockey goals.”
