Bishop's Stortford FC sign Frankie Merrifield and Ben Marlow from East Thurrock United

Bishop's Stortford are welcoming back two familiar faces after signing Frankie Merrifield and Ben Marlow.

The pair, who have had previous spells with the Blues, have agreed terms at the ProKit UK Stadium after spending last season at East Thurrock United.

Striker Merrifield was at Stortford between October 2014 and July 2016, making 57 appearances, before moving to Chelmsford City.

He normally operated in midfield for the Blues, but in the curtailed 2019-20 campaign he scored 17 goals in 37 games up front for the Rocks.

Marlow's previous Stortford stint came in 2015-16 having come through the youth ranks at West Ham United.

The midfielder, who was with the Hammers from under-eights all the way up to the under-23s and reserves, went on to score 11 times in 86 appearances for East Thurrock.
